India Plantation A Bababudan
The plantation is called Katlekhan, which means 'dark forest'.
The total plantation size is 513 hectares, most of which (462 hectares) is used for growing coffee. Both Arabica and Robusta are grown on the plantation. Temperatures range from 12 to 22 degrees Celsius. There are 1750-2200 mm of precipitation per year. Coffee grows in the shade of other trees and among other crops such as peppers, cinnamon and oranges. There are black and red soils rich in organic components.
