 Englishmen Tony and Anita Carter founded their pottery in the picturesque surroundings of Debenham, Suffolk, over 40 years ago. In 1978, their pottery workshop began producing unusual avant-garde teapots and quickly gained international renown for the uniqueness of their pieces. Each collectible teapot is carefully cast and hand-painted, ensuring that no two are exactly alike.
 
 Standard-sized teapots (excluding 1-cup teapots) feature an assigned individual number and year of production on the bottom, which undoubtedly adds exclusivity to the teapots and makes them valuable collectibles.
